chardev: Use QEMUChrEvent enum in IOEventHandler typedef

The Chardev events are listed in the QEMUChrEvent enum.

By using the enum in the IOEventHandler typedef we:

- make the IOEventHandler type more explicit (this handler
process out-of-band information, while the IOReadHandler
is in-band),
- help static code analyzers.

This patch was produced with the following spatch script:

Then the typedef was modified manually in

Clean-ups: qom-ify serial and remove QDEV_PROP_PTR

Hi,

QDEV_PROP_PTR is marked in multiple places as "FIXME/TODO/remove
me". In most cases, it can be easily replaced with QDEV_PROP_LINK when
the pointer points to an Object.

There are a few places where such substitution isn't possible. For
those places, it seems reasonable to use a specific setter method
instead, and keep the user_creatable = false. In other places,
proper usage of qdev or other facilies is the solution.

The serial code wasn't converted to qdev, which makes it a bit more
archaic to deal with. Let's convert it first, so we can more easily
embed it from other devices, and re-export some properties and drop
QDEV_PROP_PTR usage.

sysemu/sysemu.h is a rather unfocused dumping ground for stuff related
to the system-emulator. Evidence:

* It's included widely: in my "build everything" tree, changing
sysemu/sysemu.h still triggers a recompile of some 1100 out of 6600
objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on
qemu/osdep.h, down from 5400 due to the previous two commits).

* It pulls in more than a dozen additional headers.

Split stuff related to run state management into its own header
sysemu/runstate.h.

Touching sysemu/sysemu.h now recompiles some 850 objects. qemu/uuid.h
also drops from 1100 to 850, and qapi/qapi-types-run-state.h from 4400
to 4200. Touching new sysemu/runstate.h recompiles some 500 objects.

Since I'm touching MAINTAINERS to add sysemu/runstate.h anyway, also
add qemu/main-loop.h.

In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/qdev-properties.h triggers
a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and
objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h).

Many places including hw/qdev-properties.h (directly or via hw/qdev.h)
actually need only hw/qdev-core.h. Include hw/qdev-core.h there
instead.

hw/qdev.h is actually pointless: all it does is include hw/qdev-core.h
and hw/qdev-properties.h, which in turn includes hw/qdev-core.h.
Replace the remaining uses of hw/qdev.h by hw/qdev-properties.h.

While there, delete a few superfluous inclusions of hw/qdev-core.h.

Touching hw/qdev-properties.h now recompiles some 1200 objects.

hw/mips: Use object_initialize_child for correct reference counting

As explained in commit aff39be0ed97:

Both functions, object_initialize() and object_property_add_child()
increase the reference counter of the new object, so one of the
references has to be dropped afterwards to get the reference
counting right. Otherwise the child object will not be properly
cleaned up when the parent gets destroyed.
Thus let's use now object_initialize_child() instead to get the
reference counting here right.

This patch was generated using the following Coccinelle script:

@use_sysbus_init_child_obj_missing_parent@
expression child_ptr;
expression child_type;
expression child_size;
@@
- object_initialize(child_ptr, child_size, child_type);
...
- qdev_set_parent_bus(DEVICE(child_ptr), sysbus_get_default());
...
?- object_unref(OBJECT(child_ptr));
+ sysbus_init_child_obj(OBJECT(PARENT_OBJ), "CHILD_NAME", child_ptr,
+ child_size, child_type);

We let the Malta/Boston machines adopt the CPS child, and similarly
the CPS adopts the ITU/CPC/GIC/GCR children.

While the object_initialize() function doesn't take an
'Error *errp' argument, the object_initialize_child() does.
Since this code is used when a machine is created (and is not
yet running), we deliberately choose to use the &error_abort
argument instead of ignoring errors if an object creation failed.
This choice also matches when using sysbus_init_child_obj(),
since its code is:

void sysbus_init_child_obj(Object *parent,
const char *childname, void *child,
size_t childsize, const char *childtype)
{
object_initialize_child(parent, childname, child, childsize,
childtype, &error_abort, NULL);

qdev_set_parent_bus(DEVICE(child), sysbus_get_default());
}

hw/mips: Use object_initialize() on MIPSCPSState

Initialize the MIPSCPSState with object_initialize() instead of
object_new(). This will allow us to add it as children of the
machine container.

hw/mips/boston: don't make flash region 'nomigrate'

Currently we use memory_region_init_rom_nomigrate() to create
the "boston.flash" memory region, and we don't manually register
it with vmstate_register_ram(). This currently means that its
contents are migrated but as a ram block whose name is the empty
string; in future it may mean they are not migrated at all. Use
memory_region_init_ram() instead.

Note that this is a a cross-version migration compatibility break
for the "boston" machine.
